Donald H. Anderson

Donald Henry Anderson, 80, of Benton Harbor, died Friday, September 15, 2017, at Lakeland Medical Center in St. Joseph.

Cremation has taken place and a celebration of life will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, September 22, at The Bridge Church, 601 Fairview Drive, Dowagiac.  Bowerman Funeral Home, Eau Claire, is serving the family, and online messages may be left at www.bowermanfuneral.com.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the family.

Don was born December 11, 1936, in Muskegon.  Following graduation from St. Joseph High School, he entered the US Army in 1956.  Don retired after 30 years of farming at Leitz Farms LLC. 

On March 10, 1979, he married his wife of 38 years, Joyce E. (Millis) Anderson, and she survives along with children: Donald A. (Sarah) Anderson, Amanda Anderson, JJ Anderson, Karen (Ricky) Hysell, Tina Wall; 10 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and sisters, Betty V. McGuire, Sherie Purka, and Joan Romulus.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Roy and Gladys Anderson.
