Ronald D. Trail, 74, of Eau Claire, went home to be with the Lord on June 28, 2021 at Royalton Manor in St. Joseph.

A memorial service will be at 1 p.m. Thursday, July 1, at Bowerman Funeral Home in Eau Claire, with Pastor Mike Fields of Bright Star Tabernacle officiating. Inurnment with military honors will be at Fort Custer National Cemetery in Augusta, Mich. Messages and memories may be left online at www.bowermanfuneral.com.

Memorials may be made to Bright Star Tabernacle, Caring Circle Hospice, or The Gold Star Mothers Organization.

Ron was born April 27, 1947 in Benton Harbor, the son of James and R. Nadine Trail. He was a sergeant in the United States Marine Corps and served two tours in Vietnam. He loved to work with horses, play golf and dabble in antiques and perform body work on automobiles.

He is survived by his brothers, Dennis and Steve (Tia) Trail; nephews: Tony Trail, Matt (Amanda) Trail, and Zach Trail; and niece, Melissa (Mike) August. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Kenny Trail.
