Darlene R. Schinske

Darlene R. Schinske, 86, of Eau Claire, passed away surrounded by her family on Tuesday, Jan. 28, 2020, at Caretel Inns in St. Joseph.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 1, at Grace Lutheran Church in Eau Claire, with Rev. James Bartz officiating. Friends may visit with the family beginning at 10 a.m. Burial will be in Shanghai Cemetery, Eau Claire. Online memories may be shared at www.bowermanfuneral.com. Darlene was born Oct. 3, 1933, in Berrien Springs to Henry and Amanda (Gaul) Zech. After high school, she worked at VM; she retired from Berrien RESA as a bus attendant. She enjoyed her grandkids, sporting events, canning, Berrien County Youth Fair, and going out to eat. Darlene was a faithful member of Grace Lutheran Church, Eau Claire.

She is survived by her daughters: Diane (Reid) Fuller, Karen (Dan) Hong, Linda (Freddy) Krieger, Cheryl Schinske (Don Yochim), Kathy (Tim) Eising, and Heidi (Shane) Brewer; her brother, Larry Zech; and 12 grandchildren: Hans, Liesel, Greta, Hunter, Matthew, Kjersten, Kristin, Livi, Garrett, Brody, Timmy, and Ben.

She was preceded in death by her parents and siblings.
