Ellis Edwin Rogers

Ellis Edwin “Eddie” Rogers, 81, of Sodus, died March 12, 2022, at Spectrum Health Lakeland in St. Joseph.

Services will be Wednesday, March 16, at Safe Harbor Church in Sodus, with visitation beginning at 11 a.m. and the funeral service at 1 p.m. Pastor Furney Revels will officiate. Eddie was born March 7, 1941, in Niles, Mich., the son of Ellis L. and Millie (Simson) Rogers. He provided for his family by working as a forklift operator for Southwest Michigan Cold Storage. His leisure enjoyments included hunting and fishing.

Survivors include his son, Duane (Brenda) Rogers of Grand Junction; granddaughter, Danielle Rogers; three grandchildren: Tomas, Benito, and Julian Vigel; his brother, Robert Rogers of Newaygo; and his sister, Sharon Rogers Reynolds of Hagar Shores.

Eddie was preceded in death by his former wife, Nona Faye Rogers; his brother, Walter Rogers; and two sisters, Shirley Farmer and Margaret Jackson.
