James E. Teichman, 73, of Sodus, died Thursday, December 22, 2016, at Lakeland Medical Center in St. Joseph.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday, December 28, at Bowerman Funeral Home, Eau Claire, where friends may call beginning at 11 a.m. Burial with military rites by the North Berrien Military Rites Team will be in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Sodus. Memorial donations may be made to Hospice at Home or St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital. Online messages may be left at www.bowermanfuneral.com.
Jim was born July 25, 1943, in Saginaw, Mich., the son of Irvin P. and Thelma (Pitcher) Teichman. He was a proud veteran who served his country with the US Army. He owned and operated Jim Teichman Construction Company, and his leisure enjoyments included mowing his yard, riding his golf cart, spoiling his grandchildren and four-wheeling with them.
He is survived by his wife, Jean (Demski) whom he married Nov. 30, 1968, in Benton Harbor; daughters, Kim (Eric) Dahn and Jackie (Dewain) Medlin, all of Sodus; grandchildren, Courtney and Austin Dohm of Sodus; brother, Lee (Carol) Teichman of Marysville, Mich.; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
