Louise Eleanor Prillwitz

Louise Eleanor Prillwitz, 94, of Eau Claire, passed away June 27, 2023 with family by her side.

She was born March 11, 1929 in Sodus, to Lydia (Steinke) and Albert Sempert. On Oct. 23, 1948, she married Frank Prillwitz.

Louise and Frank raised their three beloved children on their family farm which they operated for over 60 years.

Louise was dedicated to her family and was a hard-working lady on the family fruit farm. She was employed seasonally by Crystal Springs Florist, Don Shoes, and Rohring’s Clothing store and sold produce at the South Bend Farmer’s Market. Louise opened one of the first U-Pick farms in the early 1970s, and she was voted WHFB’s Farm Woman of the Year. She enjoyed fashion and wearing the styles through the decades. She was a member of several organizations and participated in various causes in the community. She was a long-time member of Grace Lutheran Church in Eau Claire.

She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, in-laws, granddaughter Rachel, stepsisters, brothers-in law, and other family members.

She will be greatly missed by family and friends including sons, Wayne and Dennis (Sheila); daughter, Sherri (Cary) Taylor; granddaughter, Sara (Danny) and their children; grandson, Brent (Megan) and their children; sisters-in-law; stepbrother; nieces and nephews; and countless friends.

Louise will forever live in our hearts. Thanks to her caregivers during her brief unexpected illness.
