Norma Jean Herbert

Norma Jean Herbert, 78, of Eau Claire, died Monday, September 5, 2016, at her home.

Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday, September 8, at Bowerman Funeral Home in Eau Claire, with Connie Cavender officiating.  Burial will follow in Shanghai Cemetery, Eau Claire.  Friends are invited to visit with the family from 6 – 8 p.m. Wednesday, September 7, at the funeral home, and to leave online messages at www.bowermanfuneral.com.

Norma was born June 25, 1938, in Sodus, the daughter of Charles L. and Clara N. (Reynolds) Parritt.  She raised three sons and lovingly cared for her family.  Norma also loved dogs, and she enjoyed garage sales and working crossword puzzles.

Surviving are her sons:  Darvin M. Fentress, Jerry D. Fentress, and Richard E. (Linda) Fentress; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and her sister, Peggy J. (Robert) Pendergrass.

Norma was preceded in death by her parents; two husbands, Robert Scott Fentress and Merwyn L. Herbert; and her sister, Clara Louise Peachey.
